~Styled Vintage Picnic E-Session Sneak~

Oh my goodness I simply can't wait to share more of these with you all soon!

On Saturday Simply Sonja Photography and I did a FIVE HOUR engagement shoot at Discovery Park in Seattle.  Such a gorgeous day for this, and such a cute couple! Lindsay and Jason won an engagement shoot with Sonja, and her and I have been talking forever about styling a shoot, so it was perfect!

So funny, as I was emailing Lindsay the bride to see how she felt about my vision, and to learn more about them to incorporate who they are into the shoot . . . turns out we went to the same middle school and high school! Such a small world, right?!

You could totally tell that these two are madly in love, and Jason was SUCH a trooper the whole shoot.  They are truly a fabulous couple!

Anywho can't wait to tell and show more, for now this shall tide you over:
Also special thanks to:
(for the adorable yellow mini cake with sugar flower!)
(for all of the fun props and chairs!)

~Engagement Shoot Styling~

Happy almost weekend!

If you are a regular here you know I love styling, crafting, decor and just making things pretty. I love meeting couples and helping them personalize their wedding to fit their relationship.
I have been seeing all of these super fun styled engagement shoots on Pinterest and want to help my couples get an amazing e-session filled with fun details to tell their story.
Hmmmm I may start offering e-session styling?

Stay tuned.  For now, some inspiration:

~Holly and Matt at the Arctic Club, Seattle~

I am so beyond excited to share this amazing wedding with you guys today.

Holly & Matt
March 3rd 2012
The Arctic Club, Seattle
And some amazing wedding photography by the oh-so-talented Sean from
Holly & Matt first came to me sometime last summer to
get a little help for their big day.  I loved sitting down with them over coffee and seeing how they interact.  They are just too adorable and both were so excited about the possibility of plans for their wedding.  Even Matt was taking a big roll in the excitement (I love when grooms get equally involved!)

Holly is such a beautiful and sweet girl.  She even came to visit me at my wedding show I helped to produce last September with her mom (shout out to Diane!)
Then a few weeks later they had a HUGE exciting decision to make.  Matt got a great job offer over in NYC, and they were to move there less than 3 months before their wedding. How exciting for them, but a little more stress with planning all the way across the country!

This is one couple that takes life by the reigns and enjoys it to the fullest.
I am kind of sad they moved so far away (I totally could picture being friends for life with these 2), but so happy for them and their exciting life!

Anywho back to their wedding!
Holly rocked her wedding planning over in NYC, she designed all of her print work and made her wedding mad libs.

Great job Holly!!!
I am so proud of your skills!

Now on to the photos and details:
Oh yes the famous dress.  She had SUCH a gorgeous dress with a very long train.  Stunning. For my gift to Holly, I got her this custom hanger with "Mrs. Harlow" from Etsy! Great for the dress shot, no? :)

The boys getting ready, gotta love the bow ties!

Holly has such pretty eyes.
I do love getting ready shots of the bridal party!

This is one of my favorite photos! Holly and her magnificent dress, as she walks through the doors to see her soon to be husband for their "first look" photos.

Awww look at his face! Pure excitement:)
The Arctic Club is such a classic venue with so many fun photo ops!

Now out around Seattle for some more fun photos . . .

Here with her beautiful bridesmaids, her two friends, and her sister and MOH on the right:)
The boys!

Look at that veil!

At their rehearsal, the forecast for Saturday was rain (typical Seattle right?!) so I offered to go to Bella Umbrella and pick up fun umbrellas for the pics around Seattle.  Thank goodness the weather was wrong and it was perfect and sunny! Nevertheless the umbrellas played a great roll!
(another one of my fave shots from Affinity!)
Awww!

The first peek into the famous Arctic Dome Room:

The guests in the main room on the right, and Holly hidin gout in the back with her friends and family, eeek the big moment is almost here!
The final moments of Holly being a "Hook" . . . special time with her father.

This room is seriously amazing!

The Kiss!

Mr and Mrs Harlow!
For their wedding favors: custom playing cards (they love to play games!)
"The Perfect Pair"
The table decor was simply stunning! Instead of table numbers Holly and Matt wanted to name tables after places they have traveled to. It was so fun setting these up and seeing all of the places they have been to! :)

I still laugh every time I see these huge wine glasses!

Ok do you see how she looks at him?! Simply adorable!

You can just see the happiness between these two, they have the cutest looks at each other. True joy and love:).  It's these moments that I just feel like the luckiest person to have this job that I do:) To share in these moments.

Meet DJ Braden Landon, who rocked the dance floor all night long.  Seriously down to the last minute.  What a fun crowd!!!
I don't think the dance floor let up at all for hours.  Major wedding dancing going on.

And now it's time . . .
Gotta love a great ending to the perfect wedding.

Holly and Matt . . . you two were such a pleasure to work with! I enjoyed each and every coffee meeting.  I know you two will rock it out in NYC and live an amazing life full of family, friends and most of all, a perfect kind of love.  I hope you guys let me know when you will be in town so we can hang out! Until then, so glad we are friends on FB! ;).  I wish you all the joy in the world and can't wait to see where life takes you.

P.S. I miss your grandparents already, they were hilarious and so sweet!

Thanks for sharing your big day with me!!!
