~Wedding Hair Trend Alert: Headbands~

I am such a big fan this whimsical and romantic hair trend:

Headbands

When choosing a fun headband for your wedding, a few things to consider:

1) Overall Wedding Style
You want your headband to "shine", but you also need it to coordinate with your style of wedding.  Going Vintage? Find one with a fun brooch with stones and fun vintage details. Whimsical wedding? Find a headband with flowers and leaves.
There are so many options out there it would be easy to match your overall theme!

2) The style of your gown
Following the same idea as above, you want your bridal headband to coordinate with your dress as well as overall style.  If you have lace in your dress, find one with a similar fun lace style.  Have a lot of bling in your dress? Find a fun simple headband with a few rhinestones. Keep the theme going.  If your dress is "loud" and busy, find a simple single band headband without too much detail.

3) Hairstyle to wear with headband
Bridal headbands are very versatile and can look good on up-dos or with hair loose, again mostly this may depend on the styling of your wedding dress as a dress with lots of detail may benefit from hair being worn up (or cut in a shorter style).  If you are more of a boho bride try something beaded with lace such which could also be worn lower, across the forehead.

Stay beautiful my friends:)

~Wedding Love: Lauren & Michael, Salt Lake City, Utah~

Holy gorgeousness!!!
Found this wedding and fell in love instantly with the colors, the decor, and just every single detail!
This is the kind of wedding I would LOVE to plan!

 "something blue"
 Solamente Celebrations (formerly of Scenemakers
"Lauren attached a special brooch to the antique lace and ribbon wrapped around her bouquet.
It was a birthday present from her grandmother"

The groomsmen wore gray vests and pants from J.Crew

"A wall of satin ribbons made by the bride and groom was the perfect backdrop for the escort-card trays. Wedding coordinator Heather Balliet of Amorology filled each with vintage jewelry from Lauren's collection and placed them atop custom fabric-and-lace-covered boxes to add dimension to the table."

A stunning tent was set up at the American Fork Amphitheater

I especially LOVE this lounge set up with textured pillows.

Such a playful fun cheery wedding!

Psssst a big shout out to the 6 brides/couples I met with this weekend!!!
Excited to help with your big day:-)

~Show Off Your Back!~

Ohhh I am so in love with this style, the open back wedding gown.

Swoooon!

There is just something sexy and romantic about an open back gown.
For sure requires a confidant bride:-)

"I’ve always loved the lines and contours of a female back.  While men hold their strength in their arms or chests, I feel that a woman holds all her strength in her back."

~Bridesmaid Dress Perfection~

Hurray for sunny Fridays!
The weather is amazing out here in Seattle today . . .
it's my birthday weekend . . .
Life is pretty amazing!

To top this amazing-ness off, I found the cutest bridesmaid photo that I am in love with:
What better option to give your bridesmaids than to pick their own dress in a certain color palatte? Each person has their own individuality, can get a dress in their own budget range, and to fit their body type.

So cute!

I wish I had done this for my wedding! Sorry guys:-)
At least I can help my bride's with theirs!

Are you a fan of differing colors and styles for bridesmaid dresses?

Enjoy your weekend!

~Bridesmaid Dress Swoons~

While I was browsing Weddington Way's lovely bridesmaid dress website I came across these swoon-worthy bridesmaid dresses.
If I am a bridesmaid in anyone's weddings I'd like these
(ok guys?!)
ok so I'd wear whatever they want, even a burlap sack if it made the bride happy . . .
but it's always fun when you feel pretty too as a bridesmaid right?
:-)

Do you have a fave bridesmaid dress you have worn . . . again?

Enjoy your Wednesday . . . 2 more days until Friday!

~Wedding Dress Love~

The "Sweet Pea" gown from Ivy & Aster.
"Softly pleated flocked dot silk chiffon, draped bodice, just enough train to give the dress a regal bearing."
I love everything about this picture . . . the dress, the hair, all of it!
Stunning!

Happy Friday my lovies!
Any fun plans?

This weekend I am working on marketing "favors" for an event at La Bijou (bridal lingerie) next Thursday, so excited!

~Wedding Shoes~

Ask me what my first wedding detail that I thought about . . .
The dress?
Nope!
Venue?
Nada.

The Shoes!

“I don’t know who invented high heels, but all women owe him alot.”
- Marilyn Monroe -
So when I got married 2 years ago . . .
We paid for it all ourselves so unfortunately I couldn't afford my Louboutins . . .
So I bought these from good old J. Lo.
If I could go back . . . or have another wedding (with the same man of course!)
I'd for sure get any of these . . .

No matter which shoes you prefer . . .

Break your shoes in.
Wear them inside and gradually increase the wear periods. If you're not used to wearing heels or even if you are, there are many shoe products available that will make your shoes more comfortable.
Foot Petals (footpetals.com) offers a wide range of products and so does Dr. Scholl (drscholls.com). You may find these products so fantastic you'll want to use them in all your shoes!
